At REALtime Communications, we’ve always been proud to champion our team’s well-being – be that physical or mental. The past 18 months have been some of the hardest many of us have faced, so we wanted to put additional support in place to help us take care of our staff. We’re therefore delighted to announce our partnership with the [M]enable movement.
Our goals as a business are to remove the stigma around mental health, and create an open and honest culture where our team have the confidence to talk to us if they’re having difficultly at any time. Often people only reach out once breaking point has been reached – by us opening up to the impact of mental health and gaining a better understanding through the support provided by [M]enable, we now have a plan in place to support our team before that breaking point is reached.
[M]enable is a movement that aims to raise awareness and create proactive steps across the automotive sector to tackle the issue of mental health.
So, what have we done at RTC? Firstly, we’ve opened up and raised awareness about mental health across the business as a way to reduce the stigma and show that it’s okay to talk about how you feel.
Through [M]enable, we’ve been given the tools to offer training on how to support, guide and assist staff who may be facing mental health issues. We want to create a culture where our team feel comfortable and able to speak up if they feel they are reaching a crisis point – and in the future, we hope to be able to prevent people reaching that point by further developing this caring environment for our team.
We are the first technology provider to join [M]enable, and this also made us think about how the software we develop can have a positive impact for colleagues in the wider automotive industry.
Our product range is there to make people’s lives in the dealership easier – through our REALaftersales products we do this by joining up processes and suppliers all under one application, helping staff to create simple workflows, increasing efficiency, and giving back hours of time each day. What’s more, our REALinsights solution changes the way you look at reports by promoting the successful aspects of how the business runs, as well has clearly highlighting the areas that need changing. This removes uncertainty and helps the business focus on objectives that will deliver positive results.
