Product Manager

Location: Bury (with flexible working available)

Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity is available for a full-time Product Manager. This role will have overall responsibility for the delivery of new products and features to support the strategic and commercial objectives of the business. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to help identify new product features and enhancements to support the evolving strategy for our product suite whilst implementing robust testing and release programmes to ensure quality of output at pace.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Work with internal teams and clients to identify opportunities to improve product functionality, process flow and support the overall product strategy.
  • Ensure seamless integration of all RTC products and third-party integrations to support efficiency gains for clients and to maximise consumer satisfaction
  • Produce detailed plans and timelines to support delivery of product improvements and new features in conjunction with the Product Director
  • Work with the Scrum Master to define the development priorities to support the business objectives and product strategy
  • Implement robust handover, testing and release programmes across the product, development and release teams.
  • Liaising with customer and colleagues to co-ordinate external product testing, pilot trials and launch
  • Work with the OEM Account Manager and OEM partners to identify opportunities to support their initiatives and add value for our clients in line with the business strategy
  • Identify, establish and manage relationships with strategic third-party suppliers to enhance the RTC products and support the overall strategy
  • Ensure that impact on reporting is considered and acted upon at all stages of the product development journey
  • Implement a process of continuous improvement and iterative releases to ensure the applications, and the reports needs remain relevant throughout the product evolution
  • Ensure that timely creation and delivery of relevant customer facing and internal documentation relation to all new products
  • Day to day management of the product and release teams
  • Gain feedback and engagement from key clients on proposed new features

Experience & Skills

  • Ideally 3+ years of product management experience delivering software development projects to a successful conclusion
  • Proven success of having managed a development project that led to delivery of significant value to stakeholders
  • Experience at all stages of the product lifecycle/SDLC
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of, or experience in the automotive sector would be advantageous
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft 365 applications and tools
  • Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
